Oregon U.S. Senator Ron Wyden Hears Concerns of Knife Industry

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden conducted a “Town Meeting” with employees of Benchmade Knife Company, Inc., of Oregon City, Oregon.

As a result of his support of training programs at a local tech school, Benchmade President Les de Asis was contacted by a staff member of the Senator and asked if the Senator could visit his plant.

After the plant tour, Senator Wyden spent 30 minutes in October, 2000 meeting with de Asis and several other Portland-area executives of AKTI member companies.
