Emerging knife brand joins at the Premier Membership level
The American Knife and Tool Institute (AKTI) proudly announces that Kronos Knife Company, a new knife brand started by Palmetto State Armory, has joined as a member of the nonprofit organization. Kronos comes in at the Premier Membership level.
Kronos, based in Columbia, South Carolina, is introducing more than two dozen knives this spring, including fixed blades, folders, and out-the-front models. Kronos will feature exclusive designs by Ken Onion, Justin Gingrich, Chris Stroup, and Allen Arment.
“Our goal is to put as many knives into the hands of law-abiding citizens as possible,” said Mike Probyn, President of Kronos Knives. “Knives are some the oldest tools we humans know, and we align with AKTI’s mission to have these knives protected under the Second Amendment.”
Jan Billeb, Executive Director of AKTI, said the recent influx of new industry knife members heartens the organization.
“It’s a pleasure to see the work of AKTI in advocating for knife owners and manufacturers over the past 25 years being recognized by newly formed companies who see the value in sharing energy and resources,” Billeb said. “We’ve come a long way over the years in protecting Americans’ rights to carry knives legally, but there’s still plenty of work to do.”
