Effective August 11, 2017, Illinois SB 607 makes the possession and carrying of automatic knives legal for any citizens who possess a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card (FOID). SB 607 does not require a firearms concealed carry permit in order to possess and carry an automatic knife.
