Bill would enact statewide knife preemption in Maryland

Summary: Establishes that the State preempts the right of a county, municipal corporation, or special taxing district to regulate the purchase, sale, taxation, transfer, manufacture, repair, possession, and transportation of a knife.
Status: To Senate Committee on Judicial Proceedings on February 10, Hearing Scheduled March 1.
Introduced by: Senator H. Wayne Norman (R-35) and Senator John Astle (D-30) on February 5.
