Illinois bill would allow individuals with a concealed carry permit to buy and carry an auto-open knife
Issue: Concealed carry permit of auto-open knives
Summary: Provides that a person who has been issued a currently valid license under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act may purchase, carry, or possess a switchblade knife; provides the licensee complies with the restrictions on carrying in specific locations as provided in the Firearm Concealed Carry Act.
Status: Re-referred to House Committee on Rules on April 8.

While this bill would only allow permit holders access to auto-open knives, 2016 IL SB 2294 would allow the manufacturer, sell, possession and carry of auto-open knives.
